The scene opens on the city of Tokyo. A heavy rain had started to fall over the city and the heavy black clouds floated over the high rises that reached into the sky. People moved under brightly colored umbrella's as they headed home from work, or headed out for the night at one of the many bars that littered the city streets. The cars headlights sparkled in the puddles that lined the streets, and the street lights cast their lights into the hazy fog that settled on the ground. The cherry blossom trees were taking a pounding from the rain and wind, casting their beautiful pink blossoms to the ground. We soon see Mia running along the sidewalk ducking in and out of the rain, under awnings trying to keep dry. A flash of lightening ripped through the sky followed by a roll of thunder, making Mia jump. She never did like thunderstorms, and it always made her uncomfortable when she was out by herself in such weather. When she had left for school that morning the sky was blue and clear, with no chance of rain. She sighs, as she stops under another awning, watching the rain fall.
Mia: Stupid weather man... He said it was going to be nice all day. Bet he didn't see this coming.
Mia sighs, as another flash of lightening ripped through the sky. She still had a ways to go before she would even be close to being home. She goes to step back out into the rain, as a hand rests on her shoulder. She turns around, ready to scream, only to see Tenchi standing there with an umbrella. He smiles softly, as Mia blushes.
Mia: Tenchi? What are you doing here?
Tenchi: On my way home, same as you. I just needed to duck in here for a second, and get something for my mom.
Mia: Oh. Sorry I didn't get to see you today, but I had to get Sakura's work that she missed since her ankle is sprained.
Tenchi: Yeah I heard about that. How's she doing?
Mia: Fine. I know she's wanting to get out and everything, but she can't until the doctor says she can. Our parents freaked out because she ended up getting hurt, and than blamed me.
Tenchi nods, and smiles a bit knowing that it had been Mia and not Sakura to sign both of them up for the UWA.
Tenchi: You knew your parents were going to freak anyway. I mean they're not really all that stable remember?
Mia: No, my parents are crazy remember? When the tsunami hit they boarded up the house and we ended up staying with grandpa for almost two weeks. It didn't even hit Tokyo!
Tenchi: Yeah I know. It was so weird to see your house all boarded up.
Mia sighs, and smiles softly at Tenchi. He was her perfect guy. He liked everything she did, and they got along but she wanted more. Secretly she loved him, and had since they first met when they were six.
Mia: I know.
Tenchi: Are you heading home?
Mia: Yeah. Sakura, will be starting to worry about me.
Tenchi: Why don't I walk you home? I mean were heading in the same direction.
Mia just smiles and nods knowing that this could be her chance to tell Tenchi how she really felt about him. They walk along in silence, as Mia's mind races with thoughts of what to say.
Mia: *Voice Over* This is it, I can take the chance and tell Tenchi how I feel about him. But what if he doesn't feel the same way about me? What if he laughs in my face? I would be heart broken for the rest of my life if he did. I would never be able to face him ever again. Why am I worrying about this? I don't have time for a boyfriend right now... I have a match to worry about coming up this week...
Tenchi: Mia? Mia are you all right?
Mia snaps from her thoughts, and looks over at Tenchi with a slight nod.
Mia: I'm fine. Just thinking that's all. I have a lot on my mind.
Tenchi: I can imagine. I mean you more than likely have a match this week, even though Sakura doesn't.
Mia: Yeah. I have a match this week, and after last week, it's not going to be easy. I mean Sakura won't be there with me, and she's always the one that gets me motivated. You know what I mean.
Tenchi: I think I do. Mia you are one of the best wrestlers I have ever seen.
Mia: Thanks Tenchi.
Tenchi: I mean it Mia. You have been in the business for two years and have done more in those two years than some of these guys that in the same line of work.
Mia: The guy I'm facing this week, I don't know anything about him, except he likes to dish his dirty laundry all over the air.
Tenchi: You mean that Rick Mad, or whatever his name is?
Mia nods, as they continue down the street. The lightening flashes once again, and Mia clings to Tenchi's arm. she lets go, and blushes slightly.
Mia: Sorry about that... Lightening freaks me out a bit.
Tenchi: It's ok. C'mon we're almost home.
They continue down the street and soon reach Mia's front doorstep. Mia smiles softly, and kisses Tenchi on the cheek before heading inside. He just smiles and walks across the street to his place, as Mia watches him go across.
Mia: Oh Tenchi... Why couldn't I tell you the truth?
Mia slips her shoes off and puts on a pair of soft slippers before heading to Sakura's room. She knocks on the door, and there is no answer. Mia opens the door and Sakura is sound asleep. Mia closes the door again, and heads into the living room. She walks to the window and looks out as a crack of thunder sounds through the city.
Mia: Rick Mad... What a name. I have no clue about you and yet, for some odd reason I seem to know all about you. You're divorced, and you really need to keep things to yourself. Of course you and I are in the same boat aren't we? You don't know anything about me, and maybe that's for the best. I've been in this business for two years, and like Tenchi said, I have done a lot since I started. I've won title after title, and have managed to keep them a good length of time. I have friends that help me through anything, and a sister... a sister that loves me. She didn't want to do this and yet, she and I are the Tag Team Champions, and she hasn't lost a match yet. I did... But last week I managed to pull out a win, and this week won't be any different. I'm ready to face you, no matter what you do, or try to stop me it won't matter.
Mia stares out the window, as the lightening flashes. She cringes, but doesn't turn from the window and the sight of the rock garden just across a small bridge.
Mia: Thursday night, will be another victory for me, and your first lost in the UWA. I'm not an easy target, nor will I give up. I believe in fighting for what you believe in, and I will not stop until I have that victory well in hand this week over you. I hope you're ready to face the Otaku Angel. I just have one word of advice for you... Look up, because that's where I'll be. See you soon.
Mia smiles to herself, and turns from the window, as her reflection seems to change slightly. The girl in the Alice like dress stood there with a smile, and red eyes only to disappear slowly as the scene fades to black.
