“A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving.”

The scene opens on the beautiful city of New York. The sun was shinning brightly against the blue sky, and the sound of traffic could be heard floating above the city as it came to life for another day. The camera soon pans to the JFK airport where flights were taking off or heading to the terminals that lined the building. Soon we see Mia and her sister Sakura walking down a flight of stairs from the plane that had just landed, heading up the ramp way to the terminal. Mia had been to the states many times over, but this was Sakura's first time ever leaving Japan. Sakura looked around in awe at the city that stretched out behind the airport.
Mia: Welcome to America Sakura.
Sakura: I still don't know about this sis. I've never wrestled in front of a large crowd before.
Mia: Trust me, you'll get use to it. The thrill of it what keeps bringing me back to it. When your music comes over the loud speakers, and the crowd is cheering for you, nothing else matters.
The two of them walk off heading off to find their luggage. The airport was massive, and filled with people rushing this way and that heading off somewhere. They reach the luggage carousel and wait for their luggage to come through.
Sakura: How long are we going to be here Mia?
Mia: Long enough for our matches and then we can fly home the next morning. Even though there is a lot to see here. You would learn first hand about the places in America instead of your books.
Sakura: A little sightseeing wouldn't hurt I guess.
Mia: All right! We'll get our luggage and head to the hotel and check in. Then we'll...
As Mia goes to pick up her luggage, her bag slips from her hand, and lands on some guys foot. He looks down, and then at Mia, with narrowed eyes. Mia smiles softly, as she bends down to pick it up.
Man: HEY! Watch what you're doing!
Mia: I'm so sorry... It slipped.
Man: Yeah right! You did that on purpose!
Mia looks at him and shakes her head. She knew it had slipped but this guy was wanting to start something, and right now Mia didn't have the time to deal with him.
Mia: You can think what you want, but I didn't do it on purpose. It's heavier then I thought. All I can say is I'm sorry.
Man: Why you little bitch.
As the man goes to hit Mia Sakura grabs his fist and flips him over onto his back, leaving him stunned, as a crowd of on lookers start to gather around. Sakura hops on him and hits with him a quick elbow to the temple knocking him out. Mia looks down at Sakura, knowing it would be just a matter of time before security would show up.
Mia: Sakura lets go.
Sakura: Right.
As Sakura gets to her feet a security guard puts a hand on her shoulder, and Sakura flips him over onto his back, as two other security guards surround them. Mia knew this wasn't going to end well. A few minutes later we see Mia and Sakura sitting in a small office, wondering what was going to happen to them. Mia looks at her watch and sighs. They wouldn't be getting out any time soon.
Sakura: I'm sorry Mia.
Mia: It's ok.
Sakura: How long do you think we'll be in here?
Mia: I don't know, but we won't be able to check in with the rep from the UWA.
The door to the office soon opens and their stood an older looking man holding a folder in his hands. He tosses it on the desk and sits down looking over the names, only to look up at Mia with wide eyes.
Security Guard: Wait... You're Mia Lang.
Mia: Yes I am...
Security Guard: I am a really big fan. What brings you back to the states so soon?
Mia: We've been hired by the UWA and we were on the way to see the rep and now we're going to be late.
Security Guard: That's great. So what happened?
Mia: Well this guy tried to hit me, and my sister took him down.
The security guard looks at Sakura, and shakes his head. There was no way that this young woman took down a guy twice her size without any help.
Security Guard: That's understandable. You were just defending yourself... But what happened to the other guard?
Sakura: He snuck up on me, and I flipped him onto his back. I am so sorry.
Security Guard: That's hard to believe but sometimes things surprise me. I'll tell you what I'll let you guys out of here if I can get autographs, and some pictures, because no one is going to believe me.
Mia: Sure thing.
He hands Mia a small book, and she signs, before handing it to Sakura. Sakura signs it and blushes slightly. She hadn't even had her first match yet, and people were already asking for her autograph. The man pulls out his cell phone and Mia and Sakura sit together and smile until the flash goes off. The man nods, and smiles.
Security Guard: Thanks. My kids are going to flip when I show them these. Now let me go and make a phone call so we can get you on your way.
Mia: That would be great. We have like half an hour to meet with them, and I would really like no to have to worry about it later.
He gets up from he sits, leaving Mia and Sakura alone.
Sakura: American's are strange.
Mia: Nah, he was just a fan.
Sakura just shakes her head still trying to understand the way American's thought. Mia just smiles as he comes back into the room.
Security Guard: You two are free to go, and you will have a limo waiting for you.
Sakura: You have been too kind. Thank you.
Sakura bows as Mia extends her hand to him.
Mia: Thanks. We'll stop by on the way back if we have time.
Security Guard: That would be great. C'mon, I'll take you to the front doors.
Mia smiles and grabs Sakura by the hand, and head out of the office to a golf cart that was waiting for them. Mia hops into the passenger's seat, as Sakura hops in the back. They soon take off through the crowds of people heading toward their gates or for the nearest exit.
Sakura: Do you think we will still make it sis?
Mia: I hope so. If not we'll have to wait until tomorrow night to hand over our contracts to them. I want to get it done as soon as possible.
Security Guard: Here we are ladies. That limo outside is yours. The driver will take you anywhere you need to go.
Mia and Sakura grab their bags, and start for the door.
Sakura: Thank you again.
Sakura bows once again, as Mia does as well. The two of them turn around and head out the door as the scene fades to black.
Act 2: The Plaza Hotel
The scene reopens on central park just off of 5th Avenue. The traffic was bumper to bumper as usual for the time of day, while the streets were crowded with tourists and those trying to make it to the subway at the end of another day. We soon see the beautiful Plaza Hotel looming over Central Park, glistening in the now setting sun. The lights of the buildings were just starting to come to life, giving the city a whole new look. A black limo soon pulls up to the front of the hotel, and Mia and Sakura step out looking up at the hotel that stood before them.
Mia: C'mon Sakura.
Sakura: Mia are you sure we can afford it?
Mia: Don't be silly. I've made enough from other things, that we can stay at places like this. Besides the room I got us has a mini fridge.
The two of them head inside, and check in, before heading to the elevators that would take them to their room. They had met with the rep from the UWA and now Mia felt ready for anything they could throw at her even more now. This wasn't her first time in the ring, and it would be just like riding a bike. You never forget. They reach their room, and head inside. It was massive just for the two of them, but it would do for at least one night before they headed back to Japan. Sakura sets her luggage on the bed, and starts to unpack, as Mia walks over to the small fridge that sat in the room, and opens it.
Mia: They have everything in there. After we unpack why don't we go and see a bit of the city?
Sakura: Shouldn't we be training for our matches?
Mia: Don't worry, we can do that tomorrow morning before we head to the arena to check out everything. What do you say? I know you've always wanted to come here.
Sakura nods, and smiles softly, as Mia opens the balcony doors, and walks out into the evening looking out at the city below.
Mia: *Voice Over* Andy Star what can I say about you, considering I really don't know anything about you. I know you're probably thinking that I'm not really a threat, but that's where you're wrong. I've trained for the last two years of my life under the best of the best, plus what I learned from my grandpa. I've had titles, but what do they really matter? The way I look at it, they aren't really important, but it's what kind of show that you put on for the fans and nothing more. I don't do this for myself, I do it for the fans, and all those people out there that want to do this. I am a risk taker, and there is a very good reason they call me the human highlight reel. While you are in that ring, just keep looking up, no where else.
Mia leans against the railing, looking out over central park. There was a light breeze moving through the city, and it was already starting to turn warm.
Mia: *Voice Over* I've never been one to down my opponents. I find it so common and boring, and there's only a few ways to tell someone that I'm going to kick your ass.
Mia smiles to herself, as she watches ducks or some other type of water bird lands in the massive pond below them in the park.
Mia: *Voice Over* Last week when you stepped into the ring, you lost your match. Do you think that you can stand against me? I know that this is my first week in the UWA, but it's not my first time in the ring. I know how to handle myself in the ring, and how to walk away with my first win, while you are out on the mat wondering how I could have won. But then again... No one can tell the outcome of a match until the bell is sounded can we? Thursday night we'll see just who the best truly is.
Mia turns slowly and Sakura was behind her with a small bag slung over her shoulder, with a soft smile.
Sakura: Are you ready sis?
Mia: I am. Lets go, and see the city that never sleeps. Maybe we'll get lucky and get laid.
Sakura: Right. What? Mia?
Mia just smiles and giggles as she walks back into the room, grabbing her own bag, and heads for the door, as Sakura shakes her head, and wonders what her big sister had meant, as the scene fades to black.
