The scene opens to the sight of Hope Dudley, dressed neatly in a flowery white dress, stirring something in a metal pot on the stove of her penthouse with a red plastic spoon. The contents of the pot are unknown, but Hope continues stirring without even referencing the camera. In the background, the opening violins to “Secrets” by Onerepublic can be heard. Hope starts to sing along.
”I need another story
Something to get off my chest
My life is kinda boring
Need something that I can confess
Till all my sleeves are stained red
From all the truth that I’ve said
Come by it honestly I swear
Thought you saw me wink, no
I been on the brink, so
Tell me what you want to hear
Something that’ll light those ears
Sick of all the insincere
So I’m gonna give all my secrets away
This time
Don’t need another perfect line
Don’t care if critics never jump in line
I’m gonna give all my secrets away”
She turns around, carrying the pot and lid with her over toward the sink, and almost runs into the cameraman. She steps back in surprise, but never loses her grip on the pot. She continues over toward the sink as she speaks.
”Oh, hello. A bit early, didn’t expect you’d be here already. Just making some macaroni and cheese. And if you think it’s a sin that a pretty girl like me can eat whatever she wants and stay as perfect as this, then you can go find a different person to interview; I’m just awesome enough to be able to do that.
Now, this afternoon, I have something special for you; I’m going to reveal to the entire world a truth about me they do not know. I’m going to reveal something to you all that has eluded the UWA fanbase for quite some time. I’m going to reveal to you the secret I found for wrestling like a champion.
You see, the way I learned to wrestle was from another very capable UWA wrestler, and when he taught me how to wrestle, I blended his style with my own to create the L’il Delite. Through several hard months of non-stop training, I learned how to dominate the competition, and that’s come to no halt in the UWA. That man who trained me, of course, is someone the United Wrestling Alliance should recognize; my trainer to become a professional wrestler is the UWA Universal Champion; my trainer is the man you all know as Roy Speede.”
After draining the water from the noodles, she places the pot back on the stove, and from the fridge pulls out a stick of butter and a gallon of milk. She pours in a couple ounces of milk, and places in a couple teaspoons of butter, and places the rest back in the fridge, and continues speaking.
”Why am I telling you this, you ask? Simple. My trainer is a long-time rival, but also a friend. As is his girlfriend, Caitlyn Porter; we’re all friends when we’re not in that ring. What happens in that ring stays in that ring. But as for those I don’t care about, what I do in the ring will be merciless and downright cruel.
Take for example, Andy Star, my opponent for this week. Andy is someone I have no desire to see remain with the company, or even so much as pick up a win in this company. This place belongs to the trio of Roy Speede, Caitlyn Porter, and Hope Dudley. I don’t care who you are, or if you were trained by the owner of the company, there’s nothing you can say or do that’ll get you past me this week, and that’s a fact. I’ll see you in the ring, little buddy. And my assured victory, my friend, is no secret.”
The scene fades to black as once again “Secrets” by Onerepublic is heard, and Hope pours the mixed macaroni into a bowl and crosses the room to her leather sofa where she starts eating. End scene.
