The scene opens upon a wooden door, solid, with a silver handle on one side and a nameplate that reads “Caitlyn Porter” in bright pink letters with a golden background, probably solid gold but not guaranteed to be. There is a knock, presumably coming from the cameraman, and a voice responds inside.
”Come in!”
The door swings open, and sitting there is little red-headed Caitlyn Porter, the Rush Hour GM, in a black hoodie, not even preparing for her match, but sitting behind her desk just relaxing with her hair up in a ponytail.
”What? You’ve never seen a GM who does casual? Well then you’re in for a whole new era of wrestling fame and glory, mister. The Caitlyn Porter era is here for the United Wrestling Alliance. Little Hope Dudley thinks she’s going to hurt me, and leave the show back in the hands of Matthew Jackson, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. See, I may not have ever wrestled before, but I know exactly what I’m doing, and that is going to be the downfall of little Miss Dudley. Believe it or not, I’m a bigger threat to her than she is to me, because if she intentionally injures me, I’m going to intentionally injure her career. You see, if I become unable to walk away from this match by any means, I will exercise my right to suspend Hope Dudley indefinitely. It might seem a bit harsh considering I made the match in the first place, but I’m taking a safety precaution because, from what I’ve come to expect, she wants to send me home in an ambulance. That will not happen.”
A smile crosses her face.
”See, while I may be just nineteen years old in her eyes, I am in fact a much more capable nineteen year old than she is at twenty-three. That much is set in stone, and after this match, it will be completely obvious why I’m in charge of this company, both for my in-ring skills and knowledge, and my out-of-ring brilliance and background. See, growing up in Washington D.C. was a blessing to me, because I learned everything I need to know about history, physics, mathematics, English, and more importantly, law. How do you think I got this position from Matthew Jackson, anyway?
It’s as simple as finding one little technicality in the function of the company, whether it be a safety violation or even something as simple as a flaw with concessions or skipping out on scheduling. Or in this case, it was the fact that several of the employees on staff were, but are no longer, illegally hired and were being paid under minimum wage, both highly illegal. Just so much as threatening a lawsuit against Mr. Jackson and Mr. Blake got me this position in the company, and another mistake like that could get me full control of the company.
That’s the same fashion as one would expect to look for in wrestling; you need to look for that one minor mistake, that one little technicality that will throw your opponent off-balance, get their momentum to a halt, and take over. I can take quite a beating without going down, and when Hope Dudley slips up, I’ll be there to capitalize and reign supreme. That’s what I do, and that’s what I’ve always done.
Point is, while I may not look like much compared to that ruthless girl, Hope Dudley, I’m more than capable of defeating her with the slightest of slip-ups. And that, my dear, is where perfectionism comes to play. I don’t make mistakes; I thrive off other people’s mistakes, and run with them, making their misfortunes into my own success.
Now I know another thing some of you all were asking me about, and that is the Universal Championship match between Roy Speede and Frank Benelli. While as the GM, I’m to be impartial, I do have one wrestler I’m kinda rooting for over the other. No particular reasoning, but I’ll be completely honest, there’s one wrestler in that match who is far better in the ring, and is a far better athlete in general than the other, and he, ladies and gentlemen, is my prediction to be the winner. Frank Benelli, the gargantuan beast of a man, against ‘The Silver Lining’ Roy Speede. It’s sure to be an excellent match, but the question remains, who is going to win? Believe me, folks, the match will be exciting, but I think the youngster, Roy Speede, will pull out the victory.
As for the opening match of the evening, Andy Star vs Ebirah, I don’t think this match even needs to be commented on. It’s a couple of rookies who are just looking to make a name for themselves in this business, and as far as I’m concerned, the winner doesn’t matter a bit. So the match is rumored to be for a shot at the Intercontinental Title? Well, I’m the General Manager. I make that call. And if I think they deserve it, they’ll get their title match. But not until I see what they can do.
Back to my main focus, Hope Dudley vs Caitlyn Porter. This match will be a spectacle to behold, and for years, people will be talking about how Caitlyn Porter silenced the haters and defeated the self proclaimed L’il Delite, Hope Dudley. That’s straight from the mouth of the All Seeing Eyes, Caitlyn Porter, so it’s a guarantee, folks. Enjoy the show!”
She gets up from her chair, and heads for the door. As she’s about to open the handle, there’s a knock, and as she opens the door, the camera catches a glimpse of Roy Speede standing outside. The scene fades to black as the two wrap their arms around one another and walk off down the hall.
