Act 1: A Normal Day
The scene opens on Musashi Junior & Senior High School in Tokyo Japan. The day had just started and groups of young adults stood around outside in the beautiful spring weather. The sun was high in the sky shinning down on the old brick building, nestled behind the old trees that surrounded the property of the school. We soon see Mia standing with a group of girls, as they leaned against the railings leading up the stairs, towards the main entrance.
Ayame: I caught your match on Thursday night. It was something.
Mia: Thank you... But that's not the best news. Sakura and I are going to be in a match for the tag titles this week. I mean after the week that I had no wonder, they're giving us a chance.
Hitomi: Already? I didn't think they just gave out those shots to anyone. I mean the last the place you were in you really had to work to get where you were.
Mia: I know that's the strange thing. This is our second match, and they put Sakura and I into this Triple Threat Tornado Tag Match. I don't think I've ever been in something like this.
Makoto: But it's right up your alley Mia. If you let Sakura help you the two of you will be walking with those titles. I saw yours and Sakura's match on Thursday and she's just as good as you are if not better.
Mia nods, and smiles widely. She knew her friends would understand and support her and Sakura in anyway.
Mia: I did teach her everything she knows.
Usagi: Mia you know that she's studied harder than any of us. Plus she trains everyday. You goof off more, and yet you still manage to pull off wins like it's nothing.
Mia: That's only because I have experience, and know what to expect when...
Mia stops talking as a rather tall young man walks by them. She watches him in silence, and lets out a sigh. This was Tenchi. She had a crush on him, but couldn't tell him how she really felt. Mia could fly through the air, and take leaps off of buildings but she didn't have the courage to tell him. Her mind raced with her thoughts.
Mia: *Voice Over* Oh Tenchi how I love you. If I could I would marry you right now, and then the two of us could run off together and have the most perfect life ever.
Makoto: Mia? Mia are you all right?
Mia snaps from her thoughts, and sighs loudly.
Mia: What was I saying? Oh yeah. Our match Thursday night is going to be awesome...
Usagi: What was that?
Mia: What was what?
Ayme: You were staring at Tenchi like he was a piece of meat Mia.
Hitomi: You like Tenchi! Oh my God!
Mia: No I don't.
Usagi: Yes you do. I should have known.
Mia: Why? Just because I want to bare his children, doesn't mean anything does it?
The girls hang their heads, as the sound of the bell sounds for them to go into class for the day. Mia walks with her bag and hands behind her head to her class room, and spots Tenchi again. This could be it, she needed to tell him how she felt.
Mia: *Voice Over* That's it... I have to tell him how I feel. Nothing is going to stop me from do...
Mia rounds the corner and is hit in the face hard with a locker door. She hits the floor, as Tenchi walks by.
Tenchi: Hi Mia.
Mia: He talked to me...
Voice: Ms. Lang, I hope you're heading off to class.
Mia slowly gets to her feet, and sees an older looking woman standing in the doorway that she just passed and nods.
Mia: Yes Ms. Sato. I'm on my way now actually, but I got hit in the face...
Ms. Sato: Ms. Lang I don't care. Now go, or you're going to be late.
Mia finally gets all the way to her feet, and starts down the hall once again. A few people were still making their way down the hallway toward their classrooms for the day. Mia reaches her, and takes a seat with her friends as another bell sounded.
Hitomi: What took you so long?
Usagi: Yeah, you're usually here before we are.
Mia: I got sidetracked...
Ayme: Sidetracked with what?
Mia: Nothing.
The teacher walks into the room, and class begins. Mia stares out the window as her first match in the UWA played in her mind. Andy Star didn't know what hit him last week, and Mia knew this week would be a bit more difficult. She had never been in anything like it, but she and Sakura could do it.
Mia: *Voice Over* Last week was my first time in the UWA, and it was great. The crowds, the sound of my music, the lights... I've missed it since I left. I don't know what made me want to come back, but there I was standing in the middle of the ring, with a guy that didn't really seem to know what to think of me. He probably thought I was a pushover and could win, but he didn't. This week Sakura and I have a shot at the Tag Titles. That's not something they usually just throw out there to people that haven't been with the company long. Were we really that good? I mean did we impress someone that much that they just decided to put us in this match, or did they need filler? Why am I thinking like this? Of course we are good enough to face Emma Sinclair and Shaun Cashman, but I'm not sure about other opponents though. I never heard of either one of them, or even seen them.
Voice: Ms. Lang?
Mia breaks from her thoughts once again, and looks at the man at the front of the room. She blushes slightly, and leans back in her seat.
Mia: I'm sorry Mr. Hayashi.
Mr. Hayashi: Please pay attention Ms. Lang.
Mia sighs, and lays her head on her desk trying to pay attention to what he was saying, but once again her thoughts started to wander.
Mia: *Voice Over* As for Fear and Jasper, I don't think is anything I can really say to you or even about you. I don't know anything about you, nor have I even found anything when I went looking. It's like you don't even exist in the UWA, but obviously you do, or you wouldn't even be in this match would you? Thursday night we'll see who the best of the best really is and when all is said and done Sakura and I will be the ones walking out of the match the new Tag Team champions. It's one title I have never won, and I know it would truly be a great honor to do so. If any of you think you have what it takes to bring us down, then you better do it. Sakura and I are not going to play games this week when there is something as awesome as the tag titles on the line. I know we maybe a lot younger then most of the people in the UWA but we have already proven that we can handle anything that they throw at us.
The day seems to drag on, but it's soon over and Mia starts home. It wasn't unusual to walk home by herself, but she missed Sakura when she had to stay after school, for practices or going to work. Mia finally reaches the house, and removes her shoes before walking in, and closes the door behind her.
Mia: Sakura, I'm home. Are you here?
Sakura: I'm in the kitchen sis.
Mia heads off to the kitchen, and finds Sakura sitting with a bandaged cat sitting in a small box on the counter. Mia looks at it and then at Sakura.
Mia: Since when did we have a cat?
Sakura: I found it on the way home. It was injured.
Mia: Are you crazy? Do you think it's had it shots? It could be diseased.
Sakura: It's ok. When we come back from the show I'll call and we'll have his shots updated.
Mia looks at the cat, as it purrs gently, and stares at Mia with it's bright green eyes.
Mia: I don't know...
Sakura: Ummm... Isn't that Tenchi outside working out?
Mia: WHAT? WHERE?!!!
Mia flies to the window, and looks out as Sakura just sits a bowl of cream in front of the cat, as the scene fades to black.
